'My Mother the Man Eater" - now in production!

I am very excited to announce that my second novel 'My Mother the Man Eater' is going into the production phase. I am hopeful that it will be ready for release before Christmas, but the specific release date is yet to be determined. In any case, now that I am 'experienced' :) in working with agents, publishers, editors, etc. etc. etc. and know what to expect, I'm confident that all will go forward smoothly with few… Continue

"A Littluns" Truth"

Littluns don't have to think about what truth is. To be anything but truthful, just wouldn't be Littlun. Littluns are pure of thought and deeds. It…

Blog Tours - a great way to help your friends!

I was thrilled to be hosted by Dallas Woodburn on her blog today. She did a great interview (I think) with some very interesting and thought provoking questions. Check out her interview where we discuss my book "And The Beat GoesOn', among other things. www.dallasswoodburn.blogspot.com/interview-with-tracy-krauss-author.html

Getting together?

Apparently the thing to do is 'network'. I'm not doubting it - honest! But I do wonder at times who I am 'networking' to. Most of my efforts are on sites like this that are directed to other authors, and lets face it, we're all trying to do the same thing. I don't know about you, but I don't have the time or the money to buy and read all of your books! Too bad we couldn't pool our resources and somehow make ourselves know to the 'Big Boys' of marketing/retailing/promotions ... Any ideas?

Joyce Meyer's New Book Release "Eat The Cookie, Buy The Shoes"

Eat the Cookie... Buy the Shoes: Giving Yourself Permission to Lighten Up

Engrained in our culture is the belief that unbending discipline is the only sure way to success. You must go to the gym five times a week, never order the dessert, and don't even think about buying that dress you keep staring at in the store window.…

The Art of Blogging

I recently read an excellent article by Michael Hyatt on the elements of a good blog – or more specifically, what NOT to do! It was so relevant to where I am at, in terms of my own networking, that I thought it prudent to recap his finer points here. For more, or to read the entire posting, go to his website – www.michaelhyatt.com.

Michael lists 10 common mistakes that new bloggers make which can lessen or impede…

This Is So Beautiful I Had To Repost It

The following is written By Deborah McCarragher. It is so beautiful that I wanted to repost it again.

WHAT WALLS DO YOU NEED TO REBUILD IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS?

What is the definition of build? To form by uniting materials by gradual means

into a composite whole; to cause to be constructed; to develop according to a systematic plan.

In Scripture, God has laid forth specific plans…

Three Days of Darkness and the Coming Flood

My new book on the return of Jesus. There is a common misconception that Jesus said no one knows the day nor the hour of His coming in Matthew 24. This however is not what Jesus said. He said that no one knew the day nor the hour of heaven and earth's destruction. This is the day and hour He was referring too. His Father does this in Revelation 20:11.

This however has nothing to do with knowing when Jesus is returning. Jesus left His followers a definite sign to look for. He called it…

Authors, Don't Pay High Book Marketing Prices

You have worked hard to author and publish your book. The next step is promoting and marketing your book. You have a fine margin with regards to royalties and profits. Don't throw them away.

I see them daily. Advertise on this site for $30.00 per month and then comes the monthly renewal fee. Other sites sell author promotion packages that cost anywhere from $495.00 to $995.00. I've seen others that are even higher. Ask yourself this question. "How many books do I have to sell just to…
