Christian Book Marketing - Christian Book Review

Bears, Bobsleds and Other Misadventures by Gary Dyck is written by an author who loves to laugh at himself (and others). With the thought in mind that a merry heart does the body good like medicine, the humorous tales begin with his childhood days as he relates finding skis, his dream of becoming a world champion ski jumper, and then watching his friend Doug rocket down the hill during the disastrous test run. With witty humor, the author tells of childhood and life adventures with such chapters as: The Bobsled, Bear-a-phobia, Cousin Larry, The Spincast Reel, Claiming the Bounty, Mrs. Olsen, Squirrels in the Attic, How’s Geeber?, The Bragston War, Flying High on Love, MargaBerta, The King of Roughing It, and A Snowball in the Hot Place. Readers roll with laughter and remember their endearing growing-up memories.
.
The author claims his stories are fictitious but, in his epilogue (p. 157), his wife hints the adventures are quite possibly true. If you like to laugh remembering the “good old days” you might consider this book as an entertaining gift to oneself or a loved one. This book is an enjoyable read and you will laugh your way through the mischievous thoughts, blunders and misadventures!
.
Highly recommended as one of those memorable books that just make you smile and laugh at family and friends! It makes one more appreciative of the “Good Times.”
